This is the first work of a new series of paintings featuring the Bearded Iris, also known as the Iris Germanica.
According to stories, the Iris was the Messenger of the Goddess Hera, who delivered messages from the rainbow in the sky to the earth and vice versa. This name does the flower justice, as it blooms in many colors.
It is made in oil paint on canvas, and the dimensions are 40x50 cm.
